The answers must be mailed to me at bohra@cs.rutger.edu no later than 9:59AM on
Sunday.
Announcements
- Homework 1 has been posted. It has three parts. Details can be found
on the Homework page
- Some links on how to give a presentation/talk are posted in the references. Please read them carefully and prepare your presentation
- There will be no lecture on Wednesday, September 5, 2001. The TA would give an overview of the course in the class duration
- The class from the week of September 24 would be held in CoRE B ( CoRE 305)
- The Questions of the week are posted, please check
them and submit the solutions by September 30.
Important Announcement

This is a graduate level course in Operating Systems. If you have not
taken an undergraduate course in Operating Systems, CS 416 or
equivalent, then you must not take this course.

This course would be a programming intensive course, and most of the
programs are expected to be written in C. If you are not confident
about writing big projects in C, please do not take this course
Prerequisites
The following courses are required for this course
- Undergraduate Operating Systems(CS 416) or equivalent.
- Graduate Computer Architecture(CS 505) or equivalent.
- Experience in using C programming language under the Unix environment.
